Oregon Ave

Nowhere in Philadelphia are there as many dive bars as the far South. The Whitman neighborhood, specifically on Oregon Ave, has bars more concentrated than anywhere else in South Philly. It's quite a shocker, but lest everyone thinks Oregon avenue has nothing but family homes.

This is a list of some of the bars on Oregon ave. It doesn't include all of them, especially not the ones off Oregon ave. Right next door on Shunk, for example, is the brand new SouthHouse that's causing an uproar in South Philly.

This bowling alley has two full bars, a full kitchen, a rooftop bar, plus all the amenities of a grand bowling place, pool tables, arcade games, and more. It's also located right near the famous Philly cheesesteak joint, Tony Luke's.

Greenwich Playground is a public playground in the Whitman neighborhood of South Philadelphia. The playground includes the Murphy Recreational Center, a soccer field and baseball field. It is a great park for walking and training your dog or to play catch. The recreational center also has a swimming pool.
