Nowhere in Philadelphia are there as many dive bars as the far South. The Whitman neighborhood, specifically on Oregon Ave, has bars more concentrated than anywhere else in South Philly. It's quite a shocker, but lest everyone thinks Oregon avenue has nothing but family homes.

This is a list of some of the bars on Oregon ave. It doesn't include all of them, especially not the ones off Oregon ave. Right next door on Shunk, for example, is the brand new SouthHouse that's causing an uproar in South Philly.
